Acting since the age of 6, I started my love of acting at School under the guidance of my drama teacher, Mr Gerald Smith. His passion for theatre and literature was infectious especially his love for Dickens. I doubt I would have gotten into reading his books until much later in my life. Now Dickens has become an inspiration for my acting characterisations and physicality. As the years passed I developed my skills as an actor and went down the physical route, studying Grotesque, Comedia, Pantomime, and classical theatre. My early training helped me develope as an actor who can perform stunts and both disciplines developed in parallels, making me much more of a risk taker in my characterisations and performances. I studied at East 15 Acting School in Debden in the early '80's and added their acting style to my repertoire, which allowed me to take more risks and see my characters from a new persective. Over the years, I've learned how to communicate my ability in a large aray of roles creating what I hope is still an interresting style for people to watch and enjoy regardless of the type of character I play. I hope that even if people have seen a role several times before, my portrayal of the role will give them something new and different and of quality. Today, I'm classified as a LEading Character actor. I've got great funny bones and the ability to turn out an intensly disturbing character equally as well.
